Crescent scored five tries in total in what were awful conditions in UL.
Crescent College Comprehensive secured an impressive 31-0 first round victory over neighbours St. Clement’s college in yesterday’s Munster Schools Senior Cup.
The game was delayed almost half an hour after a nasty leg injury to a Crescent player in the first minute of the tie.
Matt Browne’s side looked in control from start to finish with four first half tries from Timothy Duggan, Ronan Reynolds, Jack Delaney and John Hurley, Hurley converting two of them to secure a 24-0 half time lead.
In atrocious second half conditions, the only try of the game came via replacement Nevil O’Sullivan to wrap up the first round win.
The Dooradoyle school now go straight into the quarter finals following the win whilst Clement’s will have to wait to learn their fate once round one is completed on Thursday with either a bye or a second round fixture on the cards.
