Crescent College Comprehensive hockey star Anna Horan will follow in the footsteps of her Catholic Institute club mate Roisín Upton and move to the University of Connecticut Field Hockey team on a sports scholarship.
Horan was part of the successful Crescent College side that won the 2019 Kate Russell competition and was captain of the team this year who lost out to Mount Mercy in the Munster Schools Final back in March.
Hockey talent runs in the family as her two older sisters were part of the first ever Crescent side to win the Kate Russell in 2015.
Described by Roisin Upton as a “brilliant player and a real talent”, Horan has represented Ireland at U18 level and was part of the Irish U21 squad this year.
