The Monaleen man is currently with the U20 side in preparation for this month’s Munster championship quarter-final.
Darragh Murray has been named as the Munster GAA Minor Footballer of the Year after a string of impressive performances in last year’s championship.
The Monaleen man captained Limerick as they reached the Munster final for the the first time since 1998.
Murray, in his second year at the grade, scored 1-16 (1-13f) in three games for the minors last year as they beat Tipperary and Clare before losing to Cork in the decider.
At a recent U20 training session in preparation for upcoming Munster Championship, Gerry Philips, Chairperson of Limerick Football Development Committee presented Murray with his award as Munster GAA Minor Footballer of the Year for 2021.
Murray is expected to be a key figure for the 20s as they take on Waterford in the Munster quarter-final on April 11 in the Fraher Fields
