Dates confirmed for Limerick’s 2022 Football and Hurling championship ties

The Limerick senior hurlers will be seeking a first ever three in a row in next year’s All-Ireland championship.

The dates for next year’s provincial championships have been confirmed with Limerick set for an All-Ireland final replay with Cork in Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Sunday April 17.

The TUS Gaelic Grounds will host the meeting of Limerick and Waterford the following Saturday with the game likely to be played under the lights.

John Kiely’s men then have a break before they play Clare in Ennis on Sunday May 8. Limerick round off their Munster round robin campaign a week later at home to Tipperary.

Limerick will have a bye in round five with the top two teams advancing to the Munster final on Sunday June 5.

The Limerick footballers are away to Clare in the Munster Senior Football Championship quarter-final on Sunday May 1. If they are victorious in that game, they will meet the winners of Waterford and Tipperary on Sunday May 15.

The Munster final is scheduled for Saturday May 28.
