Limerick’s qualifier clash against Mayo has been confirmed for June 9 in the Gaelic Grounds at 6pm. Mayo have previous history in the Gaelic Grounds, having faced Cork there in the Qualifiers last summer. Billy Lee’s side will enter the game as heavy underdogs, but with this Mayo side on the road for years at this stage, there is no better time to be facing last years All Ireland finalists.
These sides last met in the qualifiers in 2002 where Mayo ran out 0-13 to 1-9 victors. Limerick’s last championship victory came at this stage against Antrim in 2016
