Division 1 Results | Limerick Sport Eagles stay unbeaten with win over Fr. Matthews as Celtics move up to third

The Limerick team are now tied for first in the Insuremyvan.ie – Division 1 south conference with UCC, both sides having won all four of their opening fixtures.

Limerick clubs make up two of the top three table spots of the southern conference, with Limerick Sport Eagles and Limerick Celtics sitting at second and third respectively.

The Eagles are enjoying a four game win streak putting them in a shared first place with UCC Demons, both teams earning 12 points from four games. The Celtics point count equates those in fourth and fifth place, IT Carlow and Fr. Matthews

South Conference

Both Limerick teams earned wins last weekend with the Limerick Sport Eagles toppling Fr. Matthews at the UL Sports Arena 83 to 74, while the Celtics rattled IT Carlow 93 to 62 in St. Munchin’s College.

McGowans Tolka Rovers sit alone on top of the north conference table, having only lost their opening fixture and remaining unbeaten in the four games since.

Not far behind are a strong cohort of clubs just three points off the top spot, namely Ulster University, Dublin Lions, Malahide and Sligo All-Stars.

The Drogheda Wolves and the Titans have some making up to do with just three wins between the two clubs, while LYIT Donegal remain winless.
