Eight Limerick players included in Under 21 Team of The Year

The Under 21 All Ireland Champions dominated the team of the year selections

Limerick, along with Kilkenny, Galway and Cork made up the XV with Aaron Gillane taking home the player of the year after his superb displays on the way the his side’s second U21 All Ireland win in 3 years.

Gillane was in the running for the award with team mates Kyle Hayes, Peter Casey, Sean Finn and Kilkenny’s Conor Delaney.

In other news, Kerry’s Shane Conway won the player of the year for the U21 ‘B’ championship after impressing in the final against Wicklow at Sepmle Stadium.

The panel who decided on the awards included All Ireland winner Joe Canning, former Waterford star Ken McGrath, Ger Cunningham and Micheál Ó’Domhnaill.
