Fans’ Limerick SHC Team of the Year | Barry Hennessy gets the nod in goals beating out Brian Murray

Fans of Sporing Limerick have been given the opportunity to vote for their Limerick SHC Team of the Year on social media.

Limerick back up goalkeeper Barry Hennessy has been chosen on the Sporting Limerick Fans’ SHC Team of the Year after winning the vote on social media.

Paired with veteran goalkeeper Brian Murray, Hennessy received 68% of the vote after helping Kilmallock to the title.

The Kilmallock defence did prove porous in the first three rounds before holding Doon to a couple in the semi-final and shutting out Patrickswell in the decider.

It was a fourth county title for Hennessy who will now turn his attention to the Munster club championship as they face the Cork champions in early December.
