Fixture details confirmed for Limerick’s All Ireland quarter final

John Kiely’s senior hurlers will travel to Thurles for their All Ireland quarter final with Kilkenny this Sunday afternoon.

The game will throw in at 2pm and will be televised on RTE 1.

The sides renew acquaintances for the 12th time in the championship, their most recent clash took place last year with Kilkenny running out 0-20 to 0-17 winners in a qualifier tie at Nowlan Park.

Kilkenny come in to the game following two full blooded encounters with Galway in as many weeks with the Tribesmen getting the better of Brian Cody’s side in Sunday’s Leinster final replay.

Limerick progressed to the quarter final stages with a facile 5-22 to 0-13 victory over Carlow in their preliminary quarter final contest at Dr Cullen Park.

The curtain raiser for Sunday’s game will be the All Ireland MHC quarter final round 2 meeting of Galway and Kilkenny at 12pm.
