The draws for the 2022 Provincial championships were confirmed on Saturday afternoon.
Limerick will travel to Pairc Ui Chaoimh to take on Cork in a repeat of this year’s All-Ireland final in the first round of the 2022 Munster Championship.
The fixture will take place on the weekend of April 16-17 with Waterford meeting Tipp on the same weekend as the round robin series returns for the first time since 2019.
It will be the second successive meeting of the sides in the provincial opener after Limerick defeated Cork in the 2021 semi-finals.
Limerick will welcome Waterford to the TUS Gaelic Grounds the following weekend.
Clare in Ennis await in round three with Limerick hosting Tipperary in round four as the Shannonsiders receive a bye in the final round.
Limerick will be seeking a four in a row of Munster titles in 2022 after completing the hat trick earlier this year.
In 2019 they defeated Tipperary by twelve points in the final before disposing of Waterford behind closed doors in 2020.
In July Limerick were comprehensive winners over the Premier, winning 2-29 to 3-21 to claim a third successive title.
That was the Shannonsiders 22nd title but they are still a way off the top two in Munster with Cork topping the roll of honour with 54 championships, ahead of Tipp with 42.
