Six Limerick hurling and football clubs will enter their respective Munster semi-finals in the coming weeks.

Limerick’s Munster club championship representatives have been confirmed following the latest weekend of club finals.

Newcastle West, St Kierans and Castlemahon were the final three to ensure their progress to the provincial series, joining Monaleen and Na Piarsaigh, who will compete in the senior hurling and intermediate football.

Senior

Limerick SHC winners Na Piarsaigh will face the reigning all-Ireland Champions Ballygunner in the Munster Senior Hurling semi-final on November 20. Ballygunner that were comfortable winners over Kilruane Macdonaghs in the quarter-final over the weekend.

Newcastle West, who retained their Limerick SFC title for the first time over the weekend, await the winner of the Nemo Rangers and Clonmel Commericals who meet in the quarter-finals of the Munster Football Championship this weekend. NCW were beaten finalists last year as they were bested by Austin Stacks.

Intermediate

Monaleen will have home advantage against Clare’s St. Joseph’s Doora Barefield in the Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship on the 19th.

In the Intermediate Football Championship, Na Piarsaigh must get through the quarter-final stages as they prepare to face Waterford’s Roanmore this Saturday.

Junior

After losing the county decider last year, St. Kierans can prepare for a Munster championship campaign after beating Drom Broadford at the weekend. That win set up a tie with Clare’s Banner who overcame Kilgarvan in the quarters over the weekend.

Castlemahon, who were crowned Limerick kingpins on Sunday afternoon, face Shamrocks this Saturday in the Munster quarter-final where they will have home advantage.
