FIXTURES | Limerick Senior, Intermediate and Junior Football Group Stages come to a close this weekend

There’s been no game in the SFC since the 27th of August as the battle for knockout spots conclude this weekend.

The Limerick Football Championships make their return this weekend with action in the SFC, IFC, Premier JAFC and the JAFC to look forward to.

It’s the final round of group fixtures for the SFC, the knockout berths are to be decided this weekend with five clubs still within a shot of making their way out of the group stages.

In group one, Newcastle West and Fr. Casey’s will battle it out for a semi-final place when they go head-to head. Both sides sit on eight points and are guaranteed at least a quarter final spot.

A win for either Oola or Galbally will prevent them from playing a relegation play-off and keep the, safe for next year while Claughaun and Monaleen will do battle for the second quarter final place.

It’s a similar case in group two as the top two sides Adare face St. Kierans for a bye into the semi-final. Kildimo Pallaskenry face Ballysteen, who are both level on three points as well as Galtee Gaels who take on Ballylanders who are already confirmed to play in the relegation final.

There also plenty of action in the Intermediate, Junior A and Premier Junior A as the race for the knockout stages heats up.
