FIXTURES | Plenty of action across both codes with promotion and relegation deciders as well as semi & quarter-finals

There is action in the Senior Football, Senior Hurling, Intermediate Football, Premier Junior Football and Junior A Hurling & Football championships this weekend.

As the business end of the Limerick GAA season heats up, the final pairings are starting to shape up across both codes in the top tiers. Already we know the finalists in the SHC, SFC, and IHC with the semi finals in the Intermediate and Premier Junior Championships down for decision.

Football

In the Intermediate, Gerald Griffins take on Rathkeale while St Senans meet Kildimo Pallaskenry. Both those games take place on Saturday afternoon.

One of those will replace either Na Piarsaigh or Galbally in the senior ranks next year as they meet in the relegation final in Caherconlish at 3pm on Saturday.

In the Premier Junior Championship Croom and Fr Caseys meet in the first semi-final on Saturday with the winners playing one of Newcastle West or Mountcollins who play on Sunday.

Banogue face Feenagh Kilmeedy in the first of the Junior A Football semi-finals as Ballybricken Bohermore and Camogue Rovers meet next week.

Hurling

After their impressive performances in the Limerick SHC quarter-finals a fortnight ago, one of Adare or South Liberties will book their place in Section A of the championship as they do battle in the promotion pay-off.

The Junior A Championship quarter-finals are also down for decision with just eight teams left after a gruelling group stage.

On Saturday there is a double bill of action as group one table toppers Mungret St Pauls take on 2017 champions St Patrick’s in Clarina. At the same time, group three winners Ballybricken Bohermore face Killeedy in Kilfinane.

The following day, Doon meet group two toppers St Kierans in Kilmallock at 12noon while group four winners Ballybrown take on Caherline in Kilbreedy.
