Ogbene played for Limerick in the 2017 season and scored eight goals in 32 games.

The blistering winger lit up Market’s Field with his sharp dribbling and lightning quick feet in a team that included the likes of Rodrigo Tosi, Shane Duggan and Bastien Hery. The Super Blues finished 7th in the Premier Division that year with Ogbene central to their bright performances.

Ogbene was also eligbible for Nigeria but opted for the Boys in Green and has been eligble for selection for the last twelve months.

The 24 year-old left Limerick for Brentford in 2018 and currently plys his trade for Rotherham who finished 23rd in the Championship this season.

Ogbene has had an injury ridden couple of years but now has the ultimate opportunity to showcase the outstanding natural ability that was so often on display under the Friday night lights of Garryowen.
