Ireland Head Coach Joe Schmidt has named four Munster players in his starting team for the first of their Autumn Internationals against Italy in Chicago this Saturday.
Joey Carbery and Andrew Conway are selected in the backs, while Tadhg Beirne and Niall Scannell are named at second row and hooker in the team named for the game at Soldier Field. Dave Kilcoyne is on the bench.
Conway has been named at right wing and will be joined by Jordan Larmour and Jacob Stockdale in the back three. Garry Ringrose and Bundee Aki are the centre partnership, with Luke McGrath will partner Carbery at half back.
Jack McGrath and Andrew Porter will play alongside Scannell in the front row, while Quinn Roux is Beirne’s partner at second row.
Rhys Ruddock will captain the team from blindside flanker and is joined in the back row by fellow Leinster teammates Josh van der Flier and Jack Conan. Ireland’s game with Italy kicks off at 8pm Irish time and is live on eirSport2.
