Four Treaty United Players Selected for Ireland U-19 Squad

Four Treaty United senior women’s players have been named in the Ireland U-19 squad for their upcoming training camp and two friendly games against Northern Ireland on June 9th and 11th.

Olivia Gibson, Jenna Slattery, Aoife Horgan and Eve O’Sullivan have been selected by manager Dave Connell who has been keeping a close eye on the Airtricity Women’s National League. There is also a Limerick connection with Connell who managed Limerick FC in the late 1990’s and led the club to the Promotion/Relegation play-off in 1998.

All four players have been crucial during the team’s recent upsurge in form with Eve O’Sullivan being named in the Airtricity team of the week. Furthermore, Slattery and Horgan have been instrumental in midfield and have added vital goals to the team.

All four players were involved in yesterday’s 2-1 victory over Bohemians at Jackman Park with Slattery on the score sheet from the penalty spot. It looked as though the points would be shared until Anna Shanagher popped up with a last minute winner to give Niall Connolly’s outfit their second win in three games.
