Garryowen move into Division 1A semi-final places with five games remaining

Garryowen move into Division 1A semi-final places.

Garryowen are well positioned for a playoff place, with just five games remaining in the regular season following a 52-20 bonus point win over Dublin University in Dooradoyle.

Young Munster have fallen to sixth place but still just four points adrift of their Limerick rivals in the table.

The light blues are in flying form as of late, they ended Lansdowne’s unbeaten run last week, while they claimed a first Munster Senior Cup title since 2012 the week prior to that.

Conan Doyle’s men ran in seven tries with David Johnston scoring two and captain Neil Cronin, James McInerney, Liam Coombes, Darren Ryan, and Robert Meyer getting one each. Cronin converted all seven tries and also added a penalty for a twenty two point tally.
