Fr Caseys are one of the early pace setters in the Limerick SFC as they put Monaleen to the sword in the opening game of the weekend.
Fr Caseys made it three wins from three with a comfortable 0-15 to 0-8 win over Monaleen in Mick Neville Park in the third round of the Limerick SFC.
The Abbeyfeale men made light work of Monaleen to separate themselves from the pack with qualification to the knockout stages all but secured with a pair of games to play.
Rory O’Brien opened the scoring in Rathkeale but Donal O’Sullivan’s frees kept Monaleen in touch early on before Lorcan Lyons gave them their only lead of the day.
Five unanswered came from Caseys as they led 0-8 to 0-4 at the break.
The West Limerick side continued in that vein, pulling away from Monaleen to move onto six points in the table.
Caseys play Galbally in round four of the championship knowing anything other than defeat will seal a winner takes all clash with Newcastle West in the final round.
Monaleen must beat Claughaun to keep their chances alive after the Hoops moved into third by virtue of their win over Oola.
