The province have failed to win successive games in the competition this season.
Munster suffered defeat in their second Interpro of the season, this time against Leinster with the score finishing 27-13 on Saturday evening.
Leinster dominated the early affairs but missed an early penalty through Johnny Sexton. Against the run of play, Munster took the lead with a Joey Carberry penalty after 20 minutes, minutes after he put one wide.
Just eight minutes later, Leinster made their dominance count with a Scott Penny try which was converted by Sexton to give the side a 7-3 lead.
Another Carberry penalty on 33 minutes put Munster within a point of their opponents at the interval and with five minutes on the clock in the second half, Liam Coombes got the ball over the line. Carbrry was able to convert to give the side a 13-7 lead.
That would be the last score in Munster’s favour however as Leinster added three more tries with one being converted as well as a penalty to give them a 27-13 victory.
It’s six wins from six for Leinster while Munster now sit on four defeats as they continue to lose key players through injury.
