HIGHLIGHTS | Ireland level Argentina in the final fixture of the 2021 Autumn Nations Series

The fixture finished an astonishing 53 – 7 at the Aviva Stadium with a pair of red and yellow cards shown to the visitors.

Ireland bulldozed an error struck Argentinian side at the Aviva stadium yesterday in a fixture that saw the men in green run in seven tries on their visitors.

However it was Ireland who suffered from a slow start when Mateo Carreras galloped over the Irish try line in the game’s second minute.

Sadly the Argentine momentum vanished when full-back Emiliano Boffelli missed two straight forward shots at goal and Carreras fumbled a pass mere meters short of an undefended Irish try line.

Ireland grasped the game upon the restart which Josh van der Flier scoring his first of two tries. Further scores followed as Andrew Porter, Caelan Doris, Dan Sheehan, Cian Healy, and Tadhg Beirne all crossed the Argentina line.

There was also plenty drama throughout the 80-minutes, Argentina number eight Pablo Matera was shown a yellow card for a deliberate knock on, not long after his teammate Tomas Lavanini was shown red for a dangerous clear out on Cian Healy.
