It was another disappointing night for Munster as they lost their third game of the new season on Friday.
Munster fell to a defeat in round four of the BKT United Rugby Championship against Connacht at the Sportsground on Friday night.
It finished 20-11 in the hosts favour in Galway as Munster succumbed to a third defeat in four games of the season.
Academy back three player Patrick Campbell scored the only Munster try as Ben Healy kicked two penalties. Connacht came from 11-5 down to claim the victory with Finlay Bealham and Paul Boyle scoring the tries in the final half hour.
Connacht hit the front on seven minutes as Mack Hansen went over in the left corner after Connacht won two scrum penalties to gain territory with Jack Carty floating the pass for Hansen to score.
Munster got a let off with Carty unsuccessful from the tee. And Munster had the next score, Ben Healy finding Campbell on the wing with the 20-year-old finishing well in the corner. Healy was wide with the conversion but added a pair of penalties to push Munster 5-11 in front.
But Connacht found two second half tries to inflict defeat on Graham Rowntree’s side.
Munster return to Thomond Park this Saturday for the first time this season as they welcome the Vodacom Bulls to Limerick.
