Last year’s Junior All-Ireland champions hit the ground running with a pair of first half goals putting them on their way.
The Limerick Ladies Footballers league run came to an end on Sunday afternoon following a 3-16 to 1-11 defeat to Antrim in the last four.
Antrim were deserving of the victory with their first-half performance going a long way in determining the result as they led 2-12 to 0-5 at the turn of ends.

Limerick actually got off the mark quicker with a brace of points to begin the contest. But Antrim drewl level with a pair before the impressive Orlaith Prenter found the bottom corner.
That was in the midst of 1-6 without reply for the Ulster side before Karen O’Leary ended Limerick’s wait for a score on the quarter hour mark.
Prenter then turned provider in the 25th minute for Antrim’s second goal as Theresa Mellon added the finish that had Antrim 2-8 to 0-4 in front.
By the half-time whistle they had stretched that into a 13-point advantage.
Needing to eat into the lead on the restart, Limerick did just that with Cathy Mee’s goal on 43 minutes reducing the margin to 2-13 to 1-9.
But Prenter helped Antrim extend their lead once again before Grainne McLoughlin had their third goal to kill off any hopes of a Limerick comeback as they now turn attention to the championship kick off.
