HIGHLIGHTS | Limerick produce second half for the ages to claim All-Ireland title

Peter Casey was in inspired form with five form play in the second half while Limerick had huge performances from Cian Lynch and Diarmaid Byrnes also.

Limerick produced one of the great All-Ireland final displays to seal a fourth successive All-Ireland title at Kilkenny’s expense in Croke Park.

After trailing by three at the break, Limerick fought back to within one before a second Kilkenny goal edged them clear once again.

However, what followed was a power play rarely seen in Croker as they dominated the final half hour to win out 0-30 to 2-15.

Peter Casey was in inspired form with five form play in the second half while Limerick had huge performances from Cian Lynch and Diarmaid Byrnes also.

Cathal O’Neill clipped over a pair on his introduction while ten players overall got on the scoresheet.

For Kilkenny, Eoin Cody and Paddy Deegan had goals but they proved to be in vain with little stopping the Limerick juggernaut once they hit top form.
