HIGHLIGHTS | Limerick schools involved in two Munster School’s Senior Cup semi-final thrillers

CBC and Crescent College will have to do it all again as PBC await the winners in the Senior Cup final after a scintillating pair of semi-finals.

It was an eventful week for Limerick schools in the Munster Senior Cup over the weekend with contrasting results for holders Crescent College Comprehensive and St Munchins.

Crescent College did enough to secure a 15 apiece draw with CBC that means they will meet again next Thursday in Thomond Pakr to see who goes on to face PBC in the decider after they just held off St Munchins.

On Tuesday, the reigning champions battled back from 12 points down to snatch a draw against CBC with two late tries.

Twenty-four hours later, St Munchins almost repeated the trick as they scored nineteen unanswered second-half points to get within a score of PBC but they couldn’t find the winning score down the stretch as the Cork school held on.

The final will be played on Tuesday, March 14 in Musgrave Park with PBC awaiting one of CBC and Crescent College, who they met in the 2022 decider.
