HIGHLIGHTS | Munster see off Cardiff in Musgrave Park

Munster secured a crucial URC victory after a fast and furious encounter against Cardiff at Musgrave Park on Friday night.

Munster came out on top in an exciting game with Cardiff, claiming a 42-21 win in Cork to move into second in the URC table with just one round of games remaining.

Two-try Mike Haley was the Player of the Match after an outstanding display with a Thomas Ahern try and Craig Casey’s double completing the victory.

Haley’s double had Munster 17-14 in front before Ahern’s try made it 27-14 at the interval as Munster continued their search for a home path in the knockout stages.

The away side reduced the deficit to six early in the second half before Casey’s intervention secured the win.
