HIGHLIGHTS | Patrickswell leave it late to overcome Adare in the Limerick SHC quarter-final

Patrickswell booked their place in a seventh consecutive Limerick SHC semi-final on Sunday at the expense of Adare.

The ‘Well left it late to overcome Adare, eventually winning out 0-20 to 0-18 in the TUS Gaelic Grounds.

Four points on the trot from Jason Gillane down the stretch proved crucial as they grabbed the last five scores of the game.

Against the breeze, Patrickswell led by one at the waterbreak. However, it was Adare who held a three point advantage at the short whistle.

Cian Lynch clipped over a couple to start the second half but Adare responded with a number of scores to hold a 0-15 to 0-13 lead at the final waterbreak.

With three minutes to go Adare’s lead was 0-18 to 0-15 and the West side looked relatively comfortable. But then Gillane stepped up to swing the game completely in their favour.

Cian Fitzgerald added the insurance point.
