Holders Young Munster reach Charity Cup Final

Defending Champions Young Munster are through to this years Charity Cup Final after defeating Nenagh 22-6 last night.

The Cookies had tries from Darren Ryan, Nicky Irwin and a penalty try. Evan Cusack added a penalty and a conversion in the victory.

The Division 1A side opened the scoring in the fourth minute through Ryan, with Cusack pushing the lead out to 8-0 with a penalty minutes later.

The 2A outfit responded with a pair of penalties from Conor O’Brien to reduce the gap to 8-6 at the break.

Irwin would touch down two minutes after the restart as Young Munster cruised into the final.

Munster’s will now face either Old Cresent or Bruff in the final with the Limerick pair to meet on Saturday afternoon.
