How It Stands | Knockout stages confirmed in Limerick Senior, Premier Intermediate and Intermediate Hurling Championships

The group stages of the Limerick SHC, PIHC and IHC came to an end over the weekend.

Just five sides in the top tiers have a 100% record after the opening three rounds with Mungret St Pauls the only side with three wins thus far.

The Hurling championships now take a break to allow for the conclusion of the football championships with the following pairings set in the Senior, Premier Intermediate and Intermediate upon resumption.


Bon Secours Limerick Senior Hurling Championship

Na Piarsaigh and Doon are straight into the semi-finals after topping their respective groups in Section A. Patrickswell will face Adare or South Liberties in the quarter-final with Kilmallock to take on the other Section B qualifier. Adare and Liberties will meet in the promotion final once their SHC campaign comes to an end.

One of Ahane or Bballybrown will play in Section B next year while Monaleen and Blackrock will face off in the relegation final.

Patrickswell, Kilmallock, Adare & South Liberties

Relegation Final:

Ballybrown v Ahane

Adare v South Liberties

Lyons of Limerick Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship

Prior to round three, Mungret St Pauls and Newcastle West had their semi-final berths wrapped up. Mungret made it three from three in their final round while Newcastle suffered a first ever loss at the grade. Glenroe’s win over Dromin Athlacca set up a tie with Mungret while Cappamore beat Murroe Boher to book their semi-final place.

Murroe Boher are now in danger of back to back relegations as they take on Bruff in the decider.

Bruff v Murroe Boher


Nick Greene Intermediate Hurling Championship

Bruree and Effin were the only teams to win both their group games to top their respective tables. Junior A Champions Croagh Kilfinny remained unbeaten as did Pallasgreen and Croom.

Only three of last year’s quarter-finalists remain in Croom, Na Piarsaigh and Pallasgreen.
