It was a busy weekend on the gaelic games front with all four Limerick senior teams in action.
Billy Lee’s footballers were up first on Saturday afternoon. Despite an excellent performance, Lee’s charges fell to a 0-12 to 0-11 loss after Gary Plunkett point in added time saw Leitrim to victory.

There was a double header at the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday with both the camogie and hurling sides in action.
Declan Nash’s camogie side were up first against Kilkenny. After an excellent showing against a fine Kilkenny outfit, Limerick lost 1-12 to 0-14.
Nash was extremely proud of his side after the injury time defeat. Have a look at the interview with Nash below.
Limerick’s hurlers also fell to defeat for the first time in competitive action since the Munster Hurling Championship after losing by a goal to Cork.
John Kiely’s men came back from nine points down to level in the latter stages but ultimately Cork came out on top.

John Ryan’s ladies footballers were the only Limerick team to taste victory over the weekend.
They navigated a tough trip up north to come out on top against Fermanagh on a 2-8 to 1-9 victory. Mairead Kavanagh scored Limerick’s solitary goal.
