Injury concerns for John Kiely’s Limerick Hurling panel

Limerick Hurling panel with injury concerns.

Fast approaching with over three weeks to go till the Munster Senior Hurling Championship semi-final with Clare and six key players remain on the injury list for the Limerick Hurlers.

All six injured players, Diarmaid Byrnes (knee), Alan Dempsey (hamstring), Declan Hannon, Peter Casey (foot), Gearoid Hegarty and William O’Donoghue (hip) all failed to line out for their clubs in action over the weekend and are now running slightly out of time to prove their fitness for the the Semi-final on June 4th in Semple Stadium in Thurles.

Other players on the injury list include Barry Nash, Graeme Mulcahy, David Dempsey and Aaron Gillane who were all carrying slight knocks last weekend but did line out for their clubs. There are now fears over their fitness approaching the Munster Championship as well.

Limerick will play Waterford in an Challenge game in Dungarvan on Sunday evening at 7.00.
