The South African injured his knee against Cardiff on Saturday

The centre damaged ligaments in his knee on Saturday and after further review from a specialist yesterday it has been confirmed that he will undergo surgery on it.

He is expected to be out for about six months, which is a huge blow to the province, just over a week before they start their Champions Cup Campaign.
