Joe O’Connor to leave Limerick Senior Hurling setup

It has been confirmed this afternoon that Limerick fitness coach Joe O’Connor will not be returning next season.

The Rathkeale native has been involved with the county’s senior hurlers since 2016 but has opted not to return in 2020.

O’Connor, who is also a lecturer in exercise physiology in IT Tralee, came into the Limerick setup after a successful stint with Clare that led to an All-Ireland title in 2013.

He played a major role in Limerick’s All-Ireland success in 2018 and will be seen as a major loss to the backroom team.
