John Cregan “Our volunteers & their clubs have a great capacity to respond in times of difficulty

The possibility of a shortened inter-county Championship with a straight knockout formant and the possibility of a backdoor system was floated by GAA Director of Player, Club & Games Administration Fergal McGill.

Limerick GAA Chairman John Cregan says that it’s unlikely that we will see the same format championship if any in 2020:

“I think it will be very difficult for the GAA to play our championships this season in the current format that we have gotten used to.”

Following on from the news that Limerick GAA will be assigning its facilities at the LIT Gaelic Grounds and Mick Neville to the HSE to help fight the corona virus, Cregan was quick to praise the GAA and their army of volunteers who are willing to help.

“The GAA through our volunteers in their clubs have a great capacity to respond in times of difficulty situations in our community”
