John Maclean confirmed as Treaty United’s new Academy Manager

Treaty announced the news this morning with Maclean bringing a wealth of experience to the role.

John Maclean has been confirmed as the new Academy Manager for Treaty United and will bring plenty of experience to the role.

Maclean is a Uefa A license holder and has been involved in the WNL over the last few years as well as Waterford FC at underage levels.

Last year, the Treaty United U19 team finished in eighth place in their inaugural year in the League of Ireland.

They won three of their nine games, but did defeat table toppers UCD in their final game of the season.

Maclean spent three years with UCD / DLR Waves as assistant coach in the Women’s National League before moving on from the role in late 2019.

Maclean then spent a couple of years with the Waterford underage set up until May of this year.

Treaty United’s senior side are currently on a great run of form that has seen them into fifth place in the SSE Airtricity First Division with Tommy Barrett’s men winning five of their last six games including a victory over top of the table Cork City on Friday.
