John Ryan names Limerick Minor Football team for Phase One Final

Ryan has made a number of changes to the side with team captain Aidan O’Shea in line for a first start of the year following injury.

John Ryan has named his Limerick Minor Football team for Thursday’s Munster Phase One Football Final in Mallow. It is a repeat of last year’s decider as Tipp seek two on the bounce.

Ryan has made a number of changes to the side with team captain Aidan O’Shea in line for a first start of the year following injury. The Cappagh Rathkeale man is named at full forward.

O’Shea is the only survivor from last year’s team where he bagged a goal in the 1-14 to 1-4 defeat.

Elsewhere Cian Costello and Cillian Meade also come into the side. James Hunt and Sam Colgan move to the bench while Kieran O’Kelly misses out.

Limerick have won back to back games since the round one defeat to Tipperary in Mick Neville Park. The Premier have won each of their contests as they seek consecutive titles.

However, unlike last year, the runners up are guaranteed a Munster semi-final where they will meet the winners of Cork and Kerry. The Phase One champions will play the loser of that clash.
