All-Ireland champions had an impressive 2-9 to 1-8 win over Fermanagh in Ederney on Saturday, as they bounced back from defeat to Carlow in the previous round.
Limerick started the brighter and had the opening three points of the game within the opening six months as they settled quickly after a 300km journey.
Mairead Kavanagh would notch Limerick’s fourth point of the afternoon before opening her sides goal account after ten minutes to give Limerick a commanding 1-4 to 0-1 lead.
Catriona Davis extended the lead before Fermanagh hit three on the bounce to reduce the deficit to five.
Katie Heelan would get the final score of the half as Limerick held a 1-7 to 0-4 lead at the break.
Fermanagh settled much better in the second half notching the opening pair of scores to bring the sides to within four.
The teams would trade goals either side of the tenth minute of the half with Mairead Kavanagh bagging her second for the visitors.
A brace of consecutive scores for the hosts brought them within a point with time running out.
Catriona Davis would settle any Limerick nerves with the final score of the game to secure victory.
