Kilmallock’s Limerick SHC second round clash with Na Piarsaigh to be streamed live

The Limerick SHC continues with the second round of games this weekend.

There is a treat in store for Limerick GAA fans this weekend with the news that the clash of Kilmallock and Na Piarsaigh will be streamed live.

Doon hosts the clash of two of Limerick hurling’s giants on Saturday in a repeat of the 2017 county final.

Between them, Kilmallock and Na Piarsaigh have won every county title on offer since 2010, bar Patrickswell’s successes in 2016 and ’19.

Sporting Limerick’s sister company StreamSportIreland will broadcast the game live which has a 7pm throw in time.

Last weekend, Kilmallock put Patrickswell to the sword in their first game as defending champions. They were comfortable 2-23 to 2-9 winners in a repeat of last year’s decider, a game that was streamed live.

On the same evening, Na Piarsaigh were made to work for a 2-20 to 1-18 win over Doon. The East side led by five with time running out but the Caherdavin outfit finished strong with goals from David Dempsey and Conor Boylan swinging the contest.

Saturday’s clash will be the eleventh successive year that the teams have met in the Limerick SHC. Na Piarsaigh have had the better of the fixture, winning six of the last ten, including their clash last year and the 2017 decider.

Kilmallock last bested Nap in the first round of the 2020 championship.
