Kilmallock will be appearing in their first Munster final in seven years in early January.
Pairc Ui Chaoimh is the venue as Kilmallock take on Ballygunner in the 2021 Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship Final.
The clash will have a 3.30pm throw in on Sunday January 9 with TG4 showing the game live.
It will be Pairc Ui Chaoimh’s first time hosting the final since 2012 when Thurles Sarsfields beat De La Salle.
Both sides qualified for the decider over the weekend with Kilmallock easing past Midleton and Ballygunner outlasting Loughmore Castleiney.
For Kilmallock, it is a first final since 2014, when they beat Cratloe AET in a Gaelic Grounds classic. Ballygunner’s trip to the final has been far more recent with four finals appearances in the last five championships.
In 2015 and ’17 they lost to Na Piarsaigh before getting the upper hand on the Caherdavin outfit a year later. They were then dethroned in 2019 by Borris-Ileigh.
Ballygunner have won eight successive Waterford titles while Kilmallock claimed a first Limerick crown in seven years with victory over Patrickswell in October.
