There were three games in the Limerick Ladies SFC across the county on Wednesday evening.
The knockout stages are set in the 3Dental Limerick Ladies Senior Football Championship after the final round of group stage games took place last night.
In Group One, Monagea booked their place in the last four with a comprehensive win over Old Mill. The defending champions sent out a statement of intent with a 3-10 to 1-7 win over last year’s semi-finalists.
Intermediate champions Dromcollogher Broadford assured themselves of a knockout berth with a 2-10 to 0-8 win over St Brigids who finish the group stages without a point.
In Group Two, with a place in the semi-final on offer for the winner, St Ailbes got the better of Ballylanders by a solitary point. A late goal was enough for Ailbes to turn the contest as they fought hard for a 3-6 to 2-8 win and a place in the semi-finals.
The final round results mean Monagea and St Ailbes are safely though to the last four. Drom Broadford’s win means they will face the winner of the play-off in the quarter-finals while Old Mill meet Ballylanders in the other quarter-final.
Feohanagh Castlemahon meet St Brigids in the play-off this weekend with the winner meeting Drom Broadford.
