Lee names team for McGrath Cup game with Cork

Limerick senior football manager Billy Lee has announced his starting 15 for his side for Sunday’s McGrath Cup semi final with Cork.

The game, which takes place in Mick Neville Park at 2pm is the first of the season for the county’s footballers.

Lee has named only one player from county champions Adare (Paul Maher), while Oran Collins and Davy Lyons are on the bench.

Brian Begley has made the move from selector to coach the team this season and will be assisted in the coaching duties by Lee, Seamus O’Donnell and Sean Kiely. Lee is yet to confirm a captain for 2019.

Limerick made an early exit from the 2018 Championship with defeats to Clare and Mayo in Munster and All-Ireland qualifiers respectively.

Lee’s charges play their first game in Division 4 of this season’s Allianz Football League away to London on January 27th.
