Limerick 16 year-old Róisín Ní Ríaín wins bronze at World Para Swimming Championships

Limerick swimmer Roisin Ni Riain has won her first medal in the S1 100m Backstroke at the World Para Swimming Championships in Portugal.

The 16 year-old finished with a time of 1:09.37 to take home a bronze medal.

Ni Riain’s time was 4.52 seconds ahead of fourth place and 3.81 off second place. She returns to action on Day 5 of the championship in the S13 50m Freestyle.

Roisin is a member of Limerick Swimming Club and studies at Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh.
