Limerick Camogie run successful U13 & U8 blitz competitions

A number of Limerick clubs entered camogie teams in the blitz’s over the last 2 weeks, which were a great success

Teams from Cappamore, Templeglantine, Na Piarsaigh, Mungret St Pauls, Blackrock Effin, Granagh Ballingarry, Kilmallock, Monaleen, Adare and St Ailbe’s all took part in a development blitz in Raheenagh on Saturday September 2nd last.

The U13 tournament, which was organised by Olive Sheehan and Hosted by Kileedy Camogie club was a great event for young Limerick Girls to showcase their hurling ability. Cappamore won the 9 a side tournament with Na Piarsaigh going home with the Plate. In the 12 a side event Granagh Ballingarry won it out with Kilmallock winning the plate.

Last Saturday, Abbeyfeale was the venue for the annual U8 camogie blitz which was another great success for young camogie players in the count. Fr Caseys hosted the event with Olive Sheehan and her team organising it with a number of future stars on show!
