The Limerick Celtics were crowned All-Ireland Club Championship Under 14 Girls A Division champions over the weekend with a win over Templeogue in Gormanstown.
The Limerick side beat the Dublin outfit 46-12 to claim a first-ever A title. The Celtics won each of their games over the weekend to bring the trophy back to Limerick for the first time.
The Limerick club began their weekend with an impressive 52-26 win over Firhouse, following that up with a 50-25 victory against eventual finalists Templeogue. The Celtics completed the perfect group stage with a 40-24 result against St Marys.
In the quarter-final on Sunday morning, they saw off the challenge of Carrick Cruisers with a 43-16 victory and then booked their place in the final courtesy of a 49-16 win over Tralee Magic.
