The IWA-Sport IWB Senior League continues this weekend and will be hosted by the Limerick Celtics.
Proceedings kick off on Saturday at 10am in St Munchins College who currently sit in midtable with two games in hand.
They’ll play both of those games in hand this weekend as they face Galway Titan Wheelers in a Mid-West derby at 10am. Only one point separates the sides in the league standings.
A close game is certainly in store but Celtics have a much better scoring difference to this point with Internationals Tiernan O’Donnell and Joe Hargrow to the fore so far this season.
In the final game of the day at 4pm, the host club take on Dublin side Ballybrack Bulls who sit second from bottom in 8th place.
The Bulls only have 1 win out of 5 games so far this season but have been competitive in those.
Elsewhere on the day, Kingdom Wheelblasters take on Ballybrack Bulls at 12pm. The Kerry side have had a mixed season so far with 3 wins and 2 losses but do seem to be getting into the swing of it as the season rolls on. It’ll be the first of 2 games on the day for the Bulls will be looking to get some points on the table.
At 2pm, South East Swifts take on North East Thunder. The Swifts currently occupy 3rd place in the table and will be looking to close the gap on Killester. Thunder have one win in 5 and will be hoping they can turn things around here.
There is certainly an exciting day of action ahead with six of the nine teams in the league taking to the court.
