Limerick Clubs and Locals continue heroic fundraising efforts

Over the weekend, the Limerick GAA community continued to fundraise for valuable causes during this COVID-19 epidemic.

Current Ladies Football Champions St Ailbes looked to raise €1,000 for the Irish Cancer Society by walking, running and cycling within their 2km radius to make up 1000km with 1km=€1 donation.

In a huge effort that saw players and community memebers alike unite, the club amassed over €11,000 with the link to donate still open here!

On Sunday, one of our contributors, Tom Clancy organised and took part in a marathon around Clarina to raise funds for the Limerick Animal Welfare Sanctuary in Kilfinane and for PPE gear for the University Hospital in Limerick.

After completing the 42km distance, all whilst adhering to the 2km radius, Clancy has thus far raised over €3,700 to be split among the organisations.
