Limerick District League Premier Division Round-Up

Fairview Rangers continued their 100% start to the Premier Division campaign but they were made to work extremely hard to gain victory against a well organised Coonagh United team. The deadlock was broken early in the second half as debutant and high profile signing Shane Duggan latched on to a clearance on the edge of the box before side footing home for a debut goal.

Former Aisling Annacotty player Conor Coughlan won a penalty and converted to send Jason Purcell’s team 0-2 in front. However, the home team responded well and were awarded a penalty which Martin Deady duly converted for his second goal of the season. In the last minute, Fairview managed to clear the ball off the line to preserve their lead and take all three points.
