Limerick District Schoolboy League Kennedy Cup Squad Finalised

The SFAI Kennedy Cup tournament will commence at the University of Limerick on Tuesday (June 11th). There will be 32 teams from different counties competing in the U-14 competition which runs from Tuesday until Saturday.

The University of Limerick has hosted the event for a number of years and with a number of top class pitches available, it is the ideal spot for the occasion. The new all-weather pitches will also be used this year as well as the existing grass pitches

It is sure to grab the attention of local football enthusiasts and a number of current internationals including Jeff Hendrick and Robbie Brady, have represented their county at this competition

Limerick District Schoolboy League haven’t won the competition since 2000 and will be desperate to end the famine this year. They begin their quest with a match against Roscommon District League at 4pm on Tuesday (June 11th)

The man tasked with producing a winning team is former Limerick FC and Wexford Youths manager Noel O’Connor who has named his final squad for the tournament.

The squad is made up of players from six different clubs including Aisling Annacotty and Fairview Rangers. There will also be players representing Pike Rovers, Newport, Summerville Rovers and Shelbourne FC.
