Ellis played for Cork City’s u19 squad during the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons. Appearing for the first team in their mid-season friendly game against Liverpool’s Development Squad while he made his professional debut shortly after that.
The youngster will make the move from a Cork side where he will not have been first choice in attack and will hope to gain valuable first team experience at Limerick.
Chiedozie Ogbene made the move to Limerick from the Rebels for the same reason last season and went on to be one of the Super Blue’s top performers in the last campaign.
Limerick will reveal Ellis today at the same time as new manager Tommy Barrett.
