Limerick FC star Chiedozie Ogbene nominated for award after impressive month

Chiedozie Ogbene has been nominated for the the SSE Airtricity/SWAI Player of the Month award alongside five other Airtricity league stars for the month of June.

The Limerick FC winger had an excellent month scoring three goals against St Patrick’s Athletic and Bray Wanderers. Ogbene will have to wait until next week before the winner is announced.

Among the players shortlisted with Ogbene include Cork City pair Sean Maguire and Gearoid Morrisey, Dundalk men Robbie Benson and Patrik McEleney and Bohemian’s Keith Ward.

Limerick FC’s next match is a vital one against bottom of the table side Galway United this coming Friday night in Eamon Treacy Park in Galway. The match kicks off at 7:45 pm.
