The versatile 19 year old who can also operate at centre back made 11 appearances with Limerick FC last year.

Ipswich Town managed by former Ireland manager Mick McCarthy currently sit in 12th place in the Championship table on 40 points, eleven off the play-offs.

Cotter who is capped at U-19 level with Ireland heads for the exit door in the same week as Chiedozie Ogbene leaves for Brentford and with the loss of two talented young players from the panel, Tommy Barrett will be anxious to add more depth to the squad.
